I am 33 weeks pregnant and my baby is breech. My doctor said its too early to tell if I need a c-section. What are the chances she’ll turn the right way?

Breech presentation is when a fetus’ hips are at the cervical opening (as opposed to a cephalic positioning which has the head against the cervical opening).  Your doctor is right, most babys who are breech prior to 36 weeks spontaneously convert to cephalic positioning.  At 36 weeks only about 5-8% of all fetuses will still be in breech position and approximately 30% of them will convert spontaneously.  A re-evaluation at 37 weeks would be necessary to evaluate the need for c-section.  The obstetrician can attempt an external cephalic version after 37 weeks which is an attempt to externally rotate the fetus into proper cephalic positioning if there are no contraindications.
